INTERSEASONAL REGATTA TIPS
The Interseasonal Regatta works differently than the Seasonal Regatta. It occurs at the end of the 4-week season and lasts 6 days. During the Interseason 12 chests appear on the board with 3 tasks per chest. The chests are wooden (easy to complete), iron, gold, and precious (hardest to complete but yields the greatest reward). We work together to complete the chests.
-
We can earn two types of rewards: up to 5 co-op rewards for completing tasks together with our team and up to 9 personal rewards for completing chests. All 3 tasks in a chest must be completed in order for any contributing member to earn that chest’s reward.
-
The number of tasks required for each co-op reward is determined by the number of co-op members. All co-op members are automatically opted-in to the Interseasonal Regatta. Every completed task counts towards the co-op rewards, no matter the type of chest or whether the chest was completed or dumped. When a co-op goal is reached, ALL co-op members receive a prize. The prizes vary from member to member. Wood and Iron chests can be used to get quick co-op points and then can then be dumped. If someone has done a task, check with them first to be sure they don’t want that chest’s personal reward.
-
Interseasonal Regattas are easier for smaller teams. Co-ops with more than 10 members should split up into smaller teams (3-6 players seem to work best) for the week with one group staying behind in the original co-op. This makes earning all the group rewards much easier.
-
The maximum number of personal reward chests anyone can receive is 9. They are awarded in the order they are fully completed, not in the order you choose to complete them. For personal rewards it’s recommended that you go for Precious and Gold chests as the rewards are better.
-
Finish your personal rewards first so you don’t accidentally get a lower value chest as a reward. Or have the lower value chest dumped immediately after finishing the easy task for the co-op goal.
-
To maximize rewards for the team and to keep the board moving, it is best to have 3 different members working on a chest simultaneously. This way the co-op will accumulate their personal rewards faster.
-
If you are in danger of running out of time, DUMP the task (not the chest). Any task chosen during the Interseasonal Regatta can be dumped without penalty. This is ONLY during the Interseason! The task goes back on the board, the timer resets and someone else can complete it (or you try again after 30 min). This way the chest won‘t be lost.
-
If you fail a task, the entire chest is lost, penalizing EVERYONE who completed tasks in that chest. Set timers and mind your work.
-
Dump chests with planes and trains tasks when there are already 3 or 4 available in other chests, they take too long to complete.
-
Since there is no opt out during the Interseason everyone is welcome to do as much or as little as they wish.
